Above detail of the Annunciation (1478 - 85) by Leonardo da Vinci and perhaps with Lorenzo de Credi

This is a fairly early work in Leonardo's career. It was commissioned for the altar of the Cathedral Pistola.

Below left detail of a sketch by Leonardo da Vinci of the Virgin holding out a bowl of fruit to the baby Jesus (1478 - 80). This was possibly done as a study for the Benois Madonna.
